The straight up defiance from the Obama/Clinton bureaucracy President Trump faces is breathtaking and yet very little, if anything, seems to be getting done about it.
Last week Counselor to the President, Kellyanne Conway, was accused of violating the Hatch Act, which the elite media describes as any member of the executive branch engaging in political activity that could affect/interfere with the next election.
The federal agency accusing Conway is the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) which is a special section of the White House that is tasked with monitoring Hatch Act enforcement.
The letter from OSC Lead Counsel Henry Kerner describes Conway’s political comments attacking the President’s opponents in government and in the press that could influence voters.
On the surface, it would seem that Conway is guilty, but the elite media and the Office of Special Counsel are being deliberately misleading as the Hatch Act says that Executive Branch employees are not to engage in political activities provided that they are “below the policy-making level” and as Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway most certainly is in a policy making role.
The Counselor to the President works hand in hand with the Senior Advisors to the President and the White House Office of Strategic Initiatives who are tasked with certain policy initiatives, intergovernmental affairs, political affairs, public liaison and communications.
Ivanka Trump, for example, is Senior Advisor to the President in charge of women’s policy issues and advancing women’s entrepreneurship. Stephen Miller is Senior Advisor to the President in charge of immigration policy.
Energy Secretary Rick Perry is constantly campaigning to the country about all of the new strides in energy independence and new energy discoveries during what can only be described as a budding energy boom in the United States. Perry, as Energy Secretary, is a policy maker and can thus promote and campaign on what is going on under Trump without violating the Hatch Act.
Other previous Counselors and Senior Advisors to the President include David Axelrod, David Plouffe, and John Podesta under the Obama Administration who engaged in political advocacy and defense of the Obama White House constantly. The same goes for Ed Gillespie, Karen Hughes and Karl Rove in the Bush Administration, as well as Paul Begala, Sydney Blumenthal, Rahm Emanuel, and George Stephanopoulos for the Clinton Administration.
n the case of Syd Blumenthal his reputation for dirty politics is legendary. He is often described as “the dirtiest player in the game”, “Syd Vicious” and was even described anonymously as a man who is so nasty that even his friends hate him.
George Stephanopoulos ran the “Clinton War Room” with campaign manager James Carville along with Begala and Emanuel. They went on the record stating that they were on a mission to destroy Special Prosecutor Ken Starr. They smeared him as a pervert and as a man who was bought and paid for by “Big Tobacco.” They also trashed the women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault and misconduct. They called it the “Nuts & Sluts” defense.
Paula Jones sued President Clinton under the Violence Against Women Act. She took the most powerful man in the world to the Supreme Court and won which should make her a feminist hero shouldn’t it? Jones was compared by George Stephanopoulos to Tonya Harding: just another woman seeking cash for telling a tabloid tale.
The attacks against Special Prosecutor Ken Starr on the evening news and cable talk shows by Carville, Begala, and Stephanopoulos were from before the days of YouTube so I do not have video at hand to show you, however Rush Limbaugh produced a parody of the attacks. The behavior displayed in the parody below, while slightly exaggerated, is accurate in portraying the Clinton Administration’s smear campaign and an elite media willing to pile on:
So what does all this mean?
It means that an “independent” White House agency in charge of enforcing ethics, knowingly and willingly smeared Kellyanne Conway, which inspired others to attack Ivanka Trump with the same deliberate misapplication of the Hatch Act, in order to influence the press and voters, makes the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) guilty of violating the Hatch Act themselves. The Office of Special Counsel’s leadership should all be fired and frog-marched out the door… which leads us to Bureaucratic Resistance Part II. Stay tuned…
